Thank you! It only came out less than a month ago but it's getting great reviews and ratings (so far). My Amazon rankings are holding steady - the real test will be when it comes out in paperback!

Really enjoy reading mate, and if I can help a fellow Hammer out into the bargain, it's a win-win!

Hope this turns into a series, as I'm really enjoying it so far.

'Legends', Robert Littell. As good as thrillers get.

The Brigade Criminelle trilogy by Pierre Lemaitre ... 'Irene', 'Alex' and 'Camille' in that order. No shortage of gore and some great twists.

Schoffie, I can understand why you want to read 'The Snowman' before the film comes out but it really is best to read that series in chronological order, at least from Book 3 onwards as there are continuing storylines.

Did you ever read any of Donna Tartt books.

Not strictly thrillers but page turners every one.

The Secret History
The Little Friend
The Goldfinch

All quality

No gore, but for a genius plot twist and cracking all-round read, pick up a copy of Candlemoth by R J Ellory.

In fact, all of his are fucking blinding...

Alan mentioned The Rosary Girls by Richard Montanari. That is the first of the 'Byrne & Balzano' series and they are all very good reads (I think 7 so far). Also 'Don't Look now' and 'The Devil's Garden' by the same author. Also a few by Gerald Seymour. Harry's Game, The Journeyman Tailor, The Collaborator and Killing Ground.
Gerard O'Donovan - The Priest

The Bell Curve: Intelligence and Class Structure in American Life
by Richard J. Herrnstein

Fascinating insights about how society stratifies itself based on intelligence. Very controversial.
